San Miguel Allende Plays MAURITIUS- a play by Theresa Rebeck 16.08.2009 15.09.2009 “Mauritius” is a terrific potboiling comedy-thriller which explores family tensions, greed, betrayal and personal integrity. The stakes are high when half-sisters (played by Clara Dunham and Jill Gottlieb) inherit a book of rare stamps that may include the “crown jewel” of the stamp-collecting world. The battle for possession takes a dangerous turn when three rival collectors (played by Jim Newell, Tim Johnson and Tom King) enter the sisters’ world willing to go to any lengths to stake their claim on the find. Opening performance Friday AUG 21st - 8 pm - $200 pesos. All other performances are $150 pesos with recession buster front row tickets for $100 pesos. Runs Friday AUG 21st - through Sunday AUG 30th (with the exception of Wednesday AUG 26th...sorry we're dark that night! Sunday matinees at 5 pm - all other performances are 8 o'clock curtain!
